Returning to Work Tips

Tips for Breastfeeding Mothers Returning to Work

  1. Two weeks prior to returning to work start pumping extra milk.
  2. Have a water bottle at your desk, keep drinking.
  3. Bring healthy snacks to work and have some of them high protein.
  4. Breastfeed your baby just before leaving for work and first thing upon returning home.
  5. If you return to work full time use the Medela's "Pump in Style" or Lactina pump.
  6. Visualize your baby and happy thoughts when you are pumping.
  7. MOST OF ALL REMEMBER YOU ARE GIVING YOUR BABY A GIFT FOR ITS LIFETIME AND EVERY DROP OF BREASTMILK MATTERS!
